Hoy vamos a estudiar los mejores ejercicios de direcciones en inglés ¿Alguna vez te has perdido en un país totalmente desconocido sin saber nada del idioma? Partes de la ciudad

Lo primero que necesitas aprenderte es el vocabulario básico para resolver los ejercicios de direcciones en inglés. Por mucho que sepas decir «left» y «right», necesitarás conocer palabras clave sobre las partes de una ciudad si vas a dar indicaciones. Aquí tienes unas cuantas:

Preposiciones y adverbios

Ya tienes vocabulario sobre elementos cotidianos que puedes encontrarte en la ciudad. Ahora prueba a combinarlo con palabras que indiquen posición, es decir, preposiciones y adverbios de lugar:

• On the first floor: en la primera planta
• Next to the post office: al lado de la oficina de correos
• Over the bridge: cruzando el puente
• Through the tunnel: cruzando el túnel

Instrucciones

Ahora que ya tenemos la base, vamos a formar frases completas. Son la base de los ejercicios de direcciones en inglés. Como vamos a explicarle a alguien lo que tiene que hacer, necesitaremos usar el imperativo. También necesitarás conocer bastantes verbos, pero por suerte son de los más comunes. Para facilitar la comunicación, indícale el orden en el que hay que seguir las instrucciones con conectores:

• Walk down the street past the city hall: sigue la calle y pasa por delante del ayuntamiento.
• Then turn left at the roundabout: Luego gira a la izquierda en la rotonda.
• Go straight on until you see a post office: sigue recto hasta que veas una oficina de correos.
• Then, turn right and walk up Main Street: Luego gira a la derecha y sigue por la Calle Principal.
• At the end of the street, you will see a park: al final de la calle, verás un parque.
• The supermarket is across the park: El supermercado está al otro lado del parque.

Te presentaremos una lista de oraciones en inglés, debes traducirlas al español correctamente.

a. Where can I find a bank near here? There is a bank on the corner.

b. Do you know where the city hall is? Yes. Go straight ahead and turn left on the traffic light.

c. Where is the church? It’s on the other side of the street, between the school and the hospital.
